CV Of Failures

Life / Wednesday, February 7th, 2018

The curriculum vitae (CV) is like the resume in academia. I was completely mesmorized by Dr. Haushofer’s CV of FAILURES! She is a professor at Princeton. I was really touched by her CV of failures. She was right you know, failures are often invisible. A lot of my research students don’t understand that. Research in my weird field of physical anthropology usually fails. There is so much failure, nothing ever works!

Due to my current life circumstances of things never going smoothly I’ve decided to share my CV of FAILURES. I’m sure I missed a lot and a lot will be added as I get more rejections for employment in the coming months. But as Dr. Greg says, “You’re such a persistent little shit.

Until then, enjoy.

I’m sure you’ve experienced failures! Please share your CV of failures below!

  1. I love the humor you bring to this and I have to admit – I don’t get it! But, if you’d like to share, I am seriously interested in learning/understanding the benefit of doing a list like this.

  2. Thanks for the comment! I did this to help me realize how I succeeded in life and things that didn’t really work. It also really helps my students see just because you don’t succeed doesn’t mean you can’t reach your dreams! =)
